We can all count Classic wins, but who's consistently competitive on fishing's biggest stage?
Before this year’s season starts, I want to take one last look back at the Classic. There are some things I want to say, things I think matter. Some are pretty but others not so much so.
We’re going to talk about my Classic at some point, but not right now.
Well, you know the story: I won’t be fishing tomorrow. I missed the cut in a tiebreaker. I’d love to tell you that it’s OK but I have to admit that it hurts.
I’m not especially happy with how things went today but I will say that it’s a fishing tournament and this is the way things go sometimes.
After a good day of practice on the Red River, Mike Iaconelli is feeling cautiously optimistic about his chances in the 2012 Bassmaster Classic.
I know some of you are going to think I’m playing a head game with the other anglers when I say this but I’ll tell you I had a tough practice. It’s colder than I expected and the fish aren’t where I thought they’d be at this time of the year. It was a real surprise.
With experience, credentials and undeniable star power, the 2012 Bassmaster Classic field just might be one for the ages.
